Are your customers looking for a way to increase the ROI on their cloud expenditures? With the introduction of VMware Cloud on AWS integration with Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, NetApp wants to help partners and their customers save time and money by decoupling storage and compute in the cloud.

This new solution is also designed to easily and efficiently migrate and run enterprise application-sized VMware workloads, create snap copies and clones, and improve data protection and privacy—all in the VMware Cloud on AWS service through ONTAP.

Other compelling factors of the new platform include a 2-3x increase in VM performance with 75% lower latency and 50% less compute usage.

NetApp says this is a built-from-the-ground-up offering—the only integrated, certified and supported external NFS datastore for VMware Cloud on AWS available today. It’s also the only one built on NetApp ONTAP storage software managed by the AWS Management Console.
